Precision Valve Australia
In April 1999, FormTrap's Print Line Extract Mode opened up new form printing facilities which quickly aided in Precision Valve's document production - in particular the ability to add barcodes to any document and the improved appearance of form output. But IT Manager, Gary Young, points out more of the benefits FormTrap has afforded the company:
"The ability to change [forms] as required. GST was not a problem, once the [host] application software was altered. We are about to change our phone number and web address - all easy with FormTrap."
Gary also identifies FormTrap as an essential part of the business, pointing out that without it they would need to maintain stocks of blank forms, which cannot be readily altered when the need arises. When you consider that they use FormTrap to print all of their form requirements, including invoices, purchase orders, picking slips, delivery dockets, statements, work orders, customer sample sheets, credit notes, planning cards and even general 132 column reports, that adds up to being a significant benefit.
An advocate of FormTrap's ease of use, Gary had this to say when asked about any difficulties in the installation, running and maintenance of the software:
"No problemo! Out of the box installed onto both UNIX server and PC desktop with ease."
"We had one small problem…It was quickly identified and fixed in a subsequent release."
