Creating Objects - MICR Characters

MICR characters are used for check (cheque) printing, this practise has largely been replaced by direct deposit in most countries but is still prelevent in the USA.

MICR position is critical, and must be checked using a "Glardon Gauge", available from your local standards assocation. As measurements are taken from the bottom right of the page and printers register from top left of page we recommend the page be described as Reversed in Define, Properties of Base Page.

FormTrap support MICR fonts for various printers, some of which have special security features such as preventing reprints, locking the control panel etc. The font sets for MICR are shown in Tools, Options, Project Defaults tab, MICR.

Cap4.MCR and HP-SIMM.MCR are for printers sold by or with DIMMs / SIMMs from Capella, LLC.

TCG-SOFT.MCR is a soft font from this company.

TroyHP4.MCR and TROYHP5.MCR run the printers / cards supplied by TROY Group, Inc.

MICR FONTS are NOT available in PostScript in FormTrap unless you purchase and install a MICR font yourself.
