Alignment Tools

Alignment tools are exceptionally useful as icons for direct selection. The icons are used to align and to stretch lines and rectangles (and other shapes) to other items on the page.  From the top left icon, press Mouse Right and select as shown.

Select Tools, and individually select and move all of the arrow-head icons.  The order shown is ideal.

Folders

This opens the Folders window.

Projects
Holds projects (including XML and Form definitions), as "ProjectName.ftxml" files

Pictures
Holds picture files, .jpg, .gif, .bmp and .png files, (.png recommended), at least 300 dpi resolution at the correct size is highly recommended for fast non-scaled output.  Pictures are commonly held with Substitutions (see later).

.jpg are handled but produce inferior quality images when scaled from "typical" web format of 72 dpi.

Output
Files produced by Build ("ProjectName.ftzip"). These are loaded by FormTrap Spooler.

Data file
This is the file formatted by the form definition, either a text file or an input XML file.

Substitutions
This holds the Lookup Table (lookup.xml) (and obsolete FTDesign substitution files).  For QDE, also holds "Select from List" choices as text files.

This folder also holds files added to output via Print and Email delivery using the Delivery Tag names PrintDoc and EmailDoc, as well as HTML fragments and files for HTML output.

Options

This opens the Options window.

Always suggest target version when saving the file is redundant unless saving files created pre-version 11 when ticking this will produce a version question when saving files.

Fast loading ..., is standard.

If (and only if) input is in different language than your computer is set for, untick Fast loading ...

See HERE for foreign language forms.

From FTForm Plus Version 8.13, Options expands to include user-set highlights and transparency controls, per the diagram below:
